These proposals consider the National Energy Independence Strategy and the National Energy and Climate plan to install a wind farm in the Baltic Sea. The wind farm would reach 700 MW and produce 2.5-3 TWh of electricity per year, which is 25% of Lithuania's electricity demand. It may take up to 8 years to install and the territory planned in the Baltic Sea covers an area of 137.5 square km, with an average wind speed of 9 m/s.
