10 CFR Part 433 establishes energy efficiency performance standards for new Federal commercial and multi-family high-rise residential buildings with design start dates after January 3, 2007. It sets maximum fossil fuel-generated energy consumption limits for buildings and major renovations commencing after May 1, 2025, and requires green building certification for projects beginning after October 14, 2015. Standards reference ASHRAE 90.1 baseline buildings from 2004 through 2019.
